I'll stamp all over 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Former two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, said.

"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua stated.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, consistently making substantial earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"The next fight will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast evident, it emphasized just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really proceeding.
